Graham Smith BSc Agric, BVSc, MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

Graham graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in1997, having studied veterinary medicine
in Zambia, Holland, Denmark and Zimbabwe. He worked in a mixed animal practice for one year,
since then he has worked in companion animal practice.
He, with his wife Lucinda, started Afrivet in 2008. He has two children, a cat and two dogs.

Liz Thorsen BSc, BVSc, MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

Liz graduated from the University of Bristol in 2005. After working in mixed practice in Devon and
companion animal work in Bristol, Liz moved to Poole. Liz has been working at Afrivet since 2011.
She is married, has two young children , a dog and some enormous goldfish.

Sandy Addison - Receptionist

Sandy has worked in companion animal practice since 2004 and she joined Afrivet in 2010.
Sandy is a mum of three and currently has two house rabbits, Fred and Wilma.

Emma Page RVN - Veterinary Nurse

Emma started training in 2006 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2010.
She has an interest in animal physiotherapy and nutrition. In her spare time she enjoys
walking her elderly boxer dog, cooking and doing DIY at home.

Kim Boswell RVN - Veterinary Nurse

Kim qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2003 and has extensive companion animal experience.
Kim recently moved to Poole from Windsor and she has been with Afrivet since June 2013.
She has a young son and a labrador called Sunny. They enjoy exploring the forest together.
She is a keen runner and is training to compete in Half-marathons.

Lucinda Smith - Practice Administrator, Receptionist

Lucinda has worked at Afrivet since it opened in 2006. She is currently studying for a diploma in
Veterinary Practice Management. She has two children who attend local schools and she
walks her two dogs daily.
